"When the fragile smoth surface of the bubble meets the sharp snow crystals without bursting (the possibility of this in itself a marvel) a beautiful act begins. One where we get to study natures own creating of the most beautiful of decorative marbles. This image was a random coincidence cause what was initially planned to capture was that which arises later in the process where the cold from the snow makes the surface of the bubble freeze in amazing patterns but suddenly the last rays of the setting sun shone through the clouds, hitting the surface for a short moment. For an instance, it seemed to transform into a shiny little marble. Like a fascinating optical illusion, lasting but seconds, a short-lived wonder preserved in this capture. What gives this image that extra interesting aspect is the marblelike appearance of the bubble cause at a first glance it may trick the eye regarding to what is actually being viewed and therefore the image might need a second glance before deciding what is really portrayed. Therein lies the magical touch, in the exciting two-sidedness making our senses question; is it a bubble or a marble? And I for one, find this kind of visual challenge intriguing cause things certainly aren't always what they initially seem to be and by looking closer, one can usually find so much more than what first meets the eye. As always, I find myself fascinated by details, drawn to the beauty of their simplicity and the story they silently tell. That is where answers are usually found."
