"This artwork came about when my daughter and I were painting together. We began to think about how deep the sea is and what kind of creatures are living there: How does a creature that lives in an ocean feel? Can emotions travel through water? Do unhealthy behaviors exist among sea creatures? Are there mermaids? What is hidden in the depths of the sea? Are there underwater caves with civilizations similar to humanity? How does even the "body lamp" that some deep-sea fish have? Does spirituality exist in the consciousness of sea creatures? How intelligent are octopuses, dolphins, whales, etc? Does the mussel's pearl rub? Has there ever been a world war among the inhabitants of the sea?"
