"I sat and ate my lunch box on the work patio which is directly adjacent to nature and water. It is full of animals and birds there and I always have my camera with me on the break - almost always something fun and exciting happens. Usually I am accompanied by the robin and the redtail. They usually sit on the fence just near by and watch me curiously and sing a little. This time I got a completely different type of "dinner party". A gosehawk caught a squirrel, settled on a branch in a tree just 4-5 meters away and dug in. I took a little eating paus and grabbed my camera. Great lunchbreak! I've cropped the image to put focus on the intense gaze that cut stright through the lens into my eyes, but also because the uncropped version is rather graphic."
