"The trick to making the moon look so big in a picture is to use a long telephoto lens and photograph the lighthouse from a very long distance, in this case about 3 km. This makes the lighthouse small compared to the moon. It also takes a lot of timing and planning to be in the right place at the right time. The moon moves faster than you might think when you zoom in this much, so you need to adjust position quickly. I was about to break an ankle when moving quickly sideways in rough terrain, but at least I got the picture I had wanted to take for a long time. Clouds hiding part of the moon produced a somewhat interesting effect."

Please note that when a print is mounted to a matching passepartout, we secure it with framing tape, making it difficult to replace the print in the future.

Frames are available in all standard sizes: 8" × 12", 12" × 16", 18" × 24", 20" × 28", 24" × 36", 28" × 40" and the measurements refer to the size of prints it fits.
For sizes up to 20" × 28":

Note that there will be a protective foil on both the front-and backside of the glass that needs to be removed for best experience and crystal clear looking glass.
