"How weird but exciting the feeling to see land even after just a few days surrounded by only water. We were sailing with big swells which would lift you like a toy in a second and then drop you to the bottom in the next and cover any land sighting, all seemed like a repetitive roller coaster ride when you feel your heart "leaving" because of the downforce. In here, you see Alegranza island in the background as the swell started to rise. The place became more meaningful to me when I realized its history, Alegranza, the first volcanic island from the Canaries you'll see when heading south. It means "Joy" in Spanish, named by the explorer Jean de Bethencourt as when he spotted land he felt extremely joyful during the first expedition to this remote area back in 1402. The island is still uninhabited."

Note that there will be a protective foil on both the front-and backside of the glass that needs to be removed for best experience and crystal clear looking glass.
