Hi, I´m Michaela @saltandpenstudio!

Although born in the Alps, I felt the ocean´s call early on. I fell in love with the Swedish west coast, where the waves became my sanctuary and passion.

My work delves into ideas of the human body and nature, while getting inspired by the ocean. Surfing is part of my life, and as a woman, navigating the challenges of body image and comparison is part of the journey too. Our bodies are made to move, so we can appreciate how well they perform and how they carry us. Through my art, I want to influence perceptions of the normal body and challenge beauty standards.
