"Batman is a comic book hero created in 1939 by cartoonist Bob Kane and screenwriter Bill Finger. His identity is the genius and billionaire Bruce Wayne, who, after his parents are murdered by a robber, decides to devote his life to fighting crime in Gotham City. He vows to avenge their deaths and fight crime. After many years of hard mental and physical training around the world, Bruce Wayne returns to his hometown of Gotham City, masquerading as a human bat and going by the name Batman. Through his wealth and unusually large intellect, he builds and gains access to expensive and advanced devices, appliances and weapons, most of which are on or built into his protective suit."
