Disapproved photograph

If you're a photographer or artist and have a wall art that has been disapproved you can find a detailed explanation as to why below. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions regarding your wall art.

Unsharp photo or wall art

Your photo/art has been disapproved because it wasn't sharp enough for printing in large formats. Please make sure that you're checking the sharpness before uploading image to Printler, as long as the unsharpness isn't an obvious part of the artistic idea (like a bokeh effect).

Photo or wall art with noise or JPG Artifact

Your photo/art has been disapproved because it contains to much noise. Images that are too noisy doesn't turn out very well when printing in large formats. Please make sure that you’re checking the noise levels before uploading images to Printler, as long as it’s not a well balanced and artistic intended noise.

The photo or art is to dark

Your photo/art has been disapproved because it was to dark to print. Very dark images are really hard to print and often tend to turn out even darker on paper than on screen.

Please check levels and the histogram in Photoshop or Lightroom before exporting and uploading your images.

Square photo or art

Your image has been disapproved because it was square (1:1). At the moment we only print rectangular formats at the moment so aim for the more traditional formats 2:3 or 3:4.

Panorama photo or art

Your image has been disapproved because it was a panorama. At the moment we only print traditional rectangular formats at the moment so aim for image ratios of 2:3 or 3:4.

Offensive photo or art

Your photo/art has been disapproved because it was assessed as offensive. We're very selective when it comes to publishing and selling images that might upset our customers or harm the our brand, Printler.

If you feel uncertain about a image don't hesitate to ask us at photographer@printler.com prior to uploading it on Printler.

Disapproved because of framing or signature

Your photo or artwork has been disapproved because contains either a signature or some kind of framing. Since we print our wall art in a couple of different aspect ratios, we can't allow details at or around the edges. They might get cropped away.

Lacking an artistic approach

Your photo or wall art has been disapproved because we feel it is lacking an artistic touch. Images uploaded to Printler are sold as Wall Art with the purpose to decorate peoples homes so think Art when choosing your images.

Photo or art containing celebrities

Your image has been disapproved because it portrays a celebrity. We're very careful with publishing and posting images of celebrities since it might be a violation of their integrity.

Crooked or skewed photo or art

Your image has been disapproved because it is crooked or skewed and is missing a straight horisontal or vertical line.

Too many similar photos or pieces of art

Your image has been disapproved because it is very similar to one of your previous images. Since you only have a limited amount of spots, we recommend having a varied gallery.

Personal photograph or piece of art

Your image has been disapproved because it feels a little too personal for a broad target group.

Someone else's artwork

Your image has been disapproved because it features someone else's art, such as graffiti, sculptures or statues. If you have permission from the artist please contact us and we will approve your image.

Your image is incorrectly rotated.

Most likely, the image file contains exif data that makes it appear correctly on your computer and in your camera even though it is incorrectly rotated. Please read the file in Photoshop or Lightroom, rotate it so it is in the correct format and save before uploading it.

Your photo or artwork requires more retouching

For your image to work as interior decor we feel that it needs more retouching. Try adjusting the colours or lighting to ensure that the image feels well worked.

Your auto approve has been removed

As Printler continues to grow, we have to become more strict regarding which images we accept in our qualitative review process. Therefore, we have chosen to remove your auto approve to make sure that all images that are uploaded meet our quality standards.
