Rosalie Schneider
The Simple Line (The Power of the Line)

Rosalia Schneider's works appear as if they were penned by a caricaturist, but without intending to be mocking.
With a light hand, the painter captures the striking features of a scene and captures them on the canvas with clear, sweeping lines.

The pictures often show little more than silhouettes and yet convey movement, moods and the atmosphere of entire rooms.

The fresh spring breeze, which is recognizable as blowing through the pictures, conveys no feeling of wind and cold.
With just a few lines and dashes, the artist manages to carry her pictures with a light, graceful mobility. The artist forms everything movable with ease, conveying her artistic sense. The works are reduced to such an extent by simple strokes that the impression of a certain lightness is created, the peculiar style of Simplicissimus. Flowing, swirling lines reflect the lively movement of her work. The grace that radiates from the figures is the scent of perfection that the artist wants to present in her works.

Rosalia Schneider's works are created after much deliberation and first try as sketches on paper.
Then they sketch on cardboard either with colored pencils or with a pencil. After looking at the pencil drawing, the picture is painted with oil paint on a canvas.

Hungarian Rosalia Schneider was born in Romania in 1956, where she later attended evening art school in Sibiu.
