Mariann Hansen

I now paint abstract paintings with acrylic paint, alcohol ink and mixed media. I also really like working on the paintings digitally afterwards. Painting gives me a lot of energy and joy in everyday life and is also really meditative!

I have attended several different painting courses and learned many different painting techniques. Right now I am associated with a painting studio where we have a large community of artists and there you get a lot of new learning and continuous inspiration.

I use many different techniques during the painting process, such as brush, acrylic paint, liquid paint, alcohol ink, stone art, spray, paper technique, crackling etc. I paint intuitively, on feelings and never know how my paintings will end😅

I find peace and a lot of inspiration at our cabin on Rauland and am inspired by nature's play of colours, weather, surroundings, people, emotions and most things around me. My paintings often have a lot of structure in them and often with small details and I am so grateful that others like what I create.
