The soul of outdoors

Nature photographer Daniel Öberg has been into photography for as long as he can remember. It all started with 35mm film. He has always lived by the rule that the experience of the moment is what really matters, the result isn’t as important to him. With that said; when he manage to capture the moment and the photo turns out great, it’s a true feeling of double luck!

The pureness of nature has always been his biggest source of inspiration: “It's like a strong force constantly whispering to me to come, doesn't matter if it's summer, winter, spring or autumn, I always feel the pull to nature.”

Daniel started this year by taking a break from his normal life and being on parental leave. He’s really been looking forward to spending precious time (and sprints!) in nature together with his daughter; showing her what he loves the most.

"I spent three weeks getting to know some squirrels that lived near us. I got closer and closer, and eventually they got used to my presence."

Daniel about one of his favorite photos:

"I spent three weeks getting to know some squirrels that lived near us. I got closer and closer, and eventually they got used to my presence. They even climbed down they trees to say hi when I got there. Their different personalities showed, I learned how to separate them from each other and was able to capture their characters in the photos. This is probably my favorite picture from those weeks!"
